General Information - Antenna Systems, Europe and Rest of World

The antenna system consists of the Roof Antenna -R216-, the window antennas and the bumper antennas.

Roof Antenna -R216-

  • GPS Antenna - R50- (GPS), only for 7UG/IW3
  • Telephone Antenna -R65- (GSM), only on 9ZE, not EL3
  • Auxiliary Heater Antenna -R182- (RC)/Parking Heater Antenna Amplifier -R305-, only for Europe and 9M9
  • LTE Antenna 2 -R306- (LTE), only on EL3

Window Antennas

  • Antenna -R11- (AM/FM1)/TV Antenna 1 -R55- (TV1) to the Antenna Amplifier -R24- at the upper right of the rear lid.
  • Radio Antenna 2 -R93- (FM2)/TV Antenna 2 -R56- (TV2) to the Antenna Amplifier 2 -R111- at the top of the rear lid on the left side
  • TV Antenna 3 -R57- (TV3) to the TV Antenna Amplifier 1 -R82- on the top of the rear lid in the center
  • Digital Radio Antenna -R183- (DAB) to the Antenna Amplifier 3 -R112- at the top of the D-pillar on the right side

Bumper Antennas

  • Telephone Antenna -R65- (GSM) on the rear bumper on the right side, only for 9ZE/EL3
  • LTE Antenna 1 -R297- (LTE) on the rear bumper on the left side, only for EL3

Additional Antennas

  • Close Range Communication Antenna -R269- in the center front instrument panel, only Japan
  • Traffic Data Antenna -R173- at the top of the windshield on the left side, only Japan
  • Emergency Module Antenna -R263- in the front center instrument panel, only IW3
  • Antenna wires, repairing. Refer to → Electrical Equipment; Rep. Gr.97; Antenna Wires, Repairing.

  • Satellite Antenna -R170- (SAT), only for QV8
  • LTE Antenna 2 -R306- (LTE), only on 9ZX/EL3

Window Antennas

  • Antenna -R11- (AM/FM1)/TV Antenna 1 -R55- (TV1) to the Antenna Amplifier -R24- at the upper right of the rear lid.
